Megan founded the Mobius Group in 2000 with a vision of providing rock-solid financials to small nonprofit organizations. She comes from a long line of small business people, and began working in her family’s hearing aid dealership at the age of 10. With a BA in Theatre from Gustavus Adolphus College with a focus on Directing, she’s a pro at keeping an eye on both the details and the big picture, and she knows how to translate Accounting into Plain English. Her global viewpoint was honed during four years in Japan with her husband, Tom, where she taught English, studied Japanese, performed butoh, and gave birth to her oldest son.

She first became a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor in 2002, is a Certified Nonprofit Accounting Professional (CNAP), has a Mini-MBA in NonProfit Finance from the University of Saint Thomas, and spent over a year manning the phones doing tech support for QuickBooks Made Easy. She is a long-time member of the NonProfit Financial Group of Minnesota, started the QuickBooks for Nonprofits group on Facebook, and is currently the Vice Chair of the Board of the Charities Review Council. Basically, she takes this nonprofit finance stuff REALLY seriously.
